They brought back the weakness to yellow, which none of the Earth GLs have had in more than a quarter of a century in order to justify Batman being cooler than everyone.

It reads like unintentional parody it's so bad.

Neither overestimating his prominence, nor expecting another late 2000s boom, I'm saying that new content about this character should not depend on how content about another character performs. This is no sense of entitlement on my part or some ill-conceived notion of mine about his level of importance or prominence, it's common sense that any popular character should not get new material based on the success or failure of someone else's material.

Emerald Twilight and DC generally not being super reliable/consistent in their treatment of any character that isn't Batman, the Joker or Harley.

I choose to remain optimistic and just view this as DC shifting focus on other GLs and not having many plans for Hal, but no plans to get rid of him either. This is easier after Last Ride and Dark Knights of Steel panned out to nothing. But I can understand the paranoia even if I don't think we should let it get the better of us.

Dark Knights of Steel has fallen into the trap of trying to pull some big shocking twist every issue without bothering to make us care about the characters before killing them off or turning them into murderers.

If Hal does show up, I don't have high hopes he'll be treated any better or worse than any of the other characters. Unless you're Batman, Harley, or Constantine, it's a forgone conclusion that things are going to go poorly for you in an alt-DCU story written by Tom Taylor

It was a sad day for DC Animation when this show ended .

I loved that set up. Folks forget Guy was meant to be a foil for Hal.

It's really crazy that the writers on the comics' side never really bothered to give those two meaningful, modern adventures.

Imma stay salty with John never getting a chance to shine in this underrated series.
