Yes. I definitely think they are having fun trolling fans too, as they get ready for the big introduction of mutants.

There’s a reason for that though. I think a number of Fox actors had signed fkr multiple contracts that are not automatically posted invalidated just because Disney bought Fox. So since they have to use them somehow, they’re having fun with them while they get ready to go with the actual MCU versions.

Maybe that's it. I don't know. I don't know how their contracts work. But it could also be to get people in seats. It really hyped people up only for them to "Boner" them again.

Yes, Wanda's probably has the greatest popularity of any female Marvel character and is probably second only to Wonder Woman for global name recognition at this point.

She has had a number of writers pitch monthly comics with her as the star or close to it and she is a heavily restricted character in terms of what writers can and can't do with her. I am sure they already regret Axis and some of the things they let her ongoing writer do in terms of her backstory that they will have to clear up when they hammer things down in the MCU.

I believe the water will finally break in terms of Wanda and the comics when her next movie appearance happens, and they have hopefully finalized her backstory and way forward in the next phase. This is part of why I am not a fan of rigid synergy between comics and films.

Anyway.

MoM caused global searches for House of M to surge to about half the levels they were at during the peak of when Wandavision was airing. That is slightly more then half the searches that occured the month the comic series was first released in 2005.

As someone who was a fan of Wanda back to the early 90s I understand your grief, but I knew it was a blessing and a curse when the MCU picked her up with the divided studio issue going on.

They didn't answer how they are going to deal with the relations to Magneto and the rest in this film and could be going through revisions now. I actually do think the next film she is in will settle at least the question of if or how they will tie Wanda to Magneto and mutants which I believe is what has been tripping up her ability to move forward. They might have come close to doing some of it with this film in the cut scenes we don't know. I do think they will tie her to mutants, but exactly how is not a given.

That said a nucleus of a 616 House of M exists now. We just don't know where they live or any particulars and hopefully the gala will sort some of that out.

Anyway alot of new good Wanda art some of it House of M related and some of it horror related.

I’m not the executive in charge of her. Feige is. Dr. Strange 2 already brought in 700 million globally. It was a huge success for Marvel.

Meaning it’s quite clear he is going to include the Scarlet Witch in the upcoming X-Men film, as Liz Olsen is already talking about it.

Now I’m not telling anyone to like this or anything else. I personally enjoyed MoM. Some people here hated it. To each his own.

I mean, this is Marvel comics here. Lorna broke out on Gifted and instead of embracing it, they made her usage all about promoting Havok and Magneto as an occasional supporting character on X-Men Blue. They don't do things that make sense or match what people want to read.

Though on the nicer side, I'd say jmc is probably correct about the comics not really knowing what to do with Wanda yet because they don't want to conflict with whatever direction the MCU takes with her.

I think in comics, they are resting on considering each other family. Because they think that the twins need to be really young. And of course Mags is rooted in WWII. And because the MCU was a factor. Ultron replaced Mags' role there.

I don't know what is keeping her from an ongoing, but it's odd. They just need to stop mandating her so much and settled that this 616 is different than the movie one (which was earth-199999 in comics at first). I think fans understand these are different characters. There's been many Wanda's in many different realities. Hell, there was one that was a nun.

I don't know what they have planned for her in the movies, but hopefully it's to help stop the incursions. They need to let her fix something she does wrong. And grow. They keep making her the sum of her mistakes. Instead of getting that this is a character about perseverance through tragedy, not succumbing to it.

It's frustrating. Because they forget that other half of her and have delved into tragedy porn instead. Give her a beach episode for a short bit.

We don’t own the character so that’s not our call.

There’s just no point in being mad over stuff that we simply cannot control.

And while I cannot control anything done by Marvel, I can control what I purchase. So can you. If she appears in an X-Men movie you don’t have to go see it. Of course if she appears in an X-Men movie I will go see it since I love her X-Men ties. Different strokes for different strokes and no one is controlling what I like or how I spend my money. So haters are free to hate away, but I won’t.
