10 Things That Need To Happen In The New X-Men ‘97 Series, According To Reddit

Scarlet Witch Vs. Dark Phoenix
TheXMan2024 believes that a "Scarlet Witch vs. [Dark] Phoenix" episode could be epic. While this demand is extremely unlikely, it'll certainly make Dark Phoenix interesting again after fans have become fatigued after seeing the same Jean Gray story countless times. However, it could also come off as a little derivative of what is currently happening in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Not only did Scarlet Witch battle Agatha in an epic showdown at the end of WandaVision, but she also fought sorcerers in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. She could appear in Agatha: Coven of Chaos, but most importantly, fans have theorized about a solo Scarlet Witch movie, too. Though the Scarlet Witch is one of the strongest fighters in the MCU, Wanda is in danger of fatiguing fans herself, and appearing in X-Men '97 might overdo it.
House Of M
While a Scarlet Witch vs. Dark Phoenix might be too close in its narrative to the MCU, that doesn't matter to this user, who wants to see the "House of M storyline involving Wanda." House of M would also heavily feature the Scarlet Witch, as it's all about Magneto and his two children, Wanda and Pietro, fighting the X-Men.
But, once again, it would be way too similar to what's happening in the MCU, specifically Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The narratives are almost identical, as the comic book is about Wanda suffering a mental breakdown after attempting to bring her lost children back to life. Not only that, but the premise would be way too dark for a kids' morning show.
Phoenix vs Galactus would be much better a cosmic entity vs another cosmic entity

As a long fan of the potential of Wanda and Lorna’s relationship I have been less than enthusiastic at the results of their last two encounters. There are real issues between them not to be fluffed over. Their early 00s stuff was more meaty and held more weight for me given their worldviews weren’t bypassed.
Anyway AP card.

X-Men Monday #181 – Steve Orlando Talks ‘Scarlet Witch’, @Community.CBR.com
On LUNA *and* THE BOYS!!!... AIPT: X-Fan MetalMagic said Wanda’s stories have always, for better or worse, been deeply influenced and enriched by her relationships with her family and loved ones. Recent events have granted Wanda the power to mend old wounds and the agency to forge a new path forward for herself. With this new perspective, MetalMagic is ecstatic to see Wanda interacting with her siblings, Pietro and Lorna, and exploring her connections with her “extended family” in Viv Vision. That being said, will the series aim to define or take a deeper look at Wanda’s complicated relationship with her “sons” Billy and Tommy?
Steve: The chief goal of Scarlet Witch is to explore Wanda’s character itself as deeply as possible. She’s the star. She’s the icon. But that being said — this is a book that celebrates chosen family, and it would be incredible for Wanda to quest her way into Billy and Tommy’s orbit, separate or together. It would be fascinating to explore Wanda’s dynamic with Billy and Tommy’s human parents, and contrast that with her role as the mother of the people Billy and Tommy reincarnated from. Yet another strange facet of Wanda’s life that she’s learning to lean into, to embrace and explore. ...
