It’s that time of the year again! Show some appreciation for one of DC’s oldest, most unique and quite frankly coolest legacy characters! We have a lot to look forward to this year as the Blue Beetle DCEU film starts filming in March I believe.

Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!

A new year for Jaime, Ted, and Dan.

A movie on the way, YJ back in action, and hopefully an omni soon.

    Give it to us DC.

Hoping for all of that and some new animated appearances somewhere. Also a solo comic or being on a team lineup would be nice

It's kind of funny that the Blue Beetle legacy started with Dan being a Green Hornet knock off. Even pretending to be a criminal (like Green Hornet) to infiltrate the gang he was investigating.

The creators just changed the color and used a different kind of insect name

Awesome news! Can’t wait to hear about casting! They have a great lead in Xolo Maridueña (someone I’ve been suggesting for Jaime for years now!)! Wonder who the villain will be or if we’ll get any cameos from other heroes

It seems like Kord Industries will play a role, so I wonder if we'll actually see Ted.

Does anyone know a legal way to watch the Blue Beetle animated short that came on the Batman: The Long Halloween Part 2 DVD, without having to purchase the DVD? The short is not available on HBO Max even though the Batman film is, and apparently the Redbox rental version of the DVD doesn't include the short (from what I've read elsewhere).

I think it might eventually come onto HBOMax along with the Constantine short when it comes onto the service.

I wonder when we’ll get more casting news? Should be soon since they film in April. I’m curious if it’ll have any cameos from other heroes and who the villain is

I'm hoping the enemy is La Dama (Jaime's friend's Aunt; Amparo Cardenas, the biggest crime lord in El Paso), with foreshadowing to the Reach.

I hope they go with The Reach right off the bat. Don’t try to save the arch nemesis for the second movie like Green Lantern did. They may only get one shot at this so may as well go big.

As far as the Reach’s muscle, I hope it’s either Black Beetle or even Skywitness. The New 52 series was overall bad, but I liked how it connected the scarab to Mesoamerica mythology.
