He was an utter legend and seems to be such a genuine and kind person on top of that. I'm glad he at least passed away peacefully.

    RIP George Perez.

This is terrible news. My condolences to his family and friends.

We truly lost an icon. Not many can claim to be the quintessential Marvel AND DC artist but Perez definitely took the crown.

rest in peace George. His work is legendary, and will leave a legacy. I've always stood by my opinion that he's been my favorite artist,; the artistic craftwork often emulated, but never matched. He will be missed.

A quintessential Avengers artist. As well as, I believe, the creator of the first Puerto Rican superhero.

One of the best comics' artists ever. For my, George Perez was synonymous with clean and detailed art and grand (not big mind you. Grand.) event storytelling. He's one of the reasons why I became an Avengers fan and his work on the Infinity Gauntlet, Avengers, and Avengers vs JLA stories will always have a place in my heart.

Thank you so much Mr. Perez!

Comic Tropes gave an excellent analysis on George Perez's life and work a couple of months ago. Check it out:

Always loved his work. When I started to get into comics, he was always one of the main artists that always stood out to me. Timeless art.

    RIP to him.

I guess this is the past where I say that his art "still holds up" The fact is it's still better than seventy percent of what I see in current Marvel Comics. Perez is one of the GOATS.

Thank you, George, for helping me find my favorite character and helping me discover a (likely) lifelong hobby that has brought me much joy.

For me he had become one of my benchmark for appreciate and enjoy superhero comics. Is sad to hear that he is no more amongst us. Even if it was expected is never easy to deal with loss.
    Rest in peace.
