Okay, now that I know who you mean, the original point that this belongs to isBut there's really no comparison to be made since Dinah Laurel Lance was the daughter of an original Golden Age "mystery (wo)man" and younger Dinah wore an outfit that was pretty much the same as her mother's original costume.
Do we know anything about where / how Red Canary came up with her uniform?

I wish we could get more of DLL/DD stories or a good origin issue of DLL working with the JSA growing up before going solo.

I just saw a preview for Batman: Knightwatch where Dinah is undercover and wearing a brunette wig, which amused me to no end .
I still contend that the SMALLVILLE version which reversed the usual hair dynamic, making the brunette wig her civilian disguise with the short blonde hair being her fighting look, worked better and was more transformative if Dinah has a secret identity.

YES Capes. YES Masks. YES Secret Identities.
So not only do we get more Red Canary in Dark Crisis Warzone today, but she also gets to team up with Dinah and the two just interact. It’s not like a one quick moment either, once the two meet the rest of of the story is them working together and Red Canary telling Dinah how her music inspired her. It’s nice and gives the feeling like Red Canary could really be Dinah’s future sidekick/partner.
