By the way Red Canary probably is not Sin or anyone related to Dinah.

Dinah doesn’t react like she think she knows her or seems familiar and Red Canary talks about having a brother, and how she was inspired when she heard Dinah with her band in concert in Seattle and then really got started when Dinah passed in death of the justice league. Basically she’s kind of a superhero music groupie if I were to put a title on it.

I'm trying not to be automatically dismissive of her, but aside from her design it feels like there isn't much to latch onto with this character.

If Dinah had NO characters that could take up the mantle, I wouldnt mind as much. But the fact that we have Sin thats just sitting in limbo? I dont need this fan.

It's not that I so much hate it as much as I don't see a reason for this character to exist when there's very little tangibly connecting her to Dinah.

Like, if Dinah had a solo series where this girl could be her sidekick, maybe it would make sense (but then why not also reintroduce Sin?).

Unless she's in the new Green Arrow series from Williamson but we already have maybe Emiko and Mia going to be in that.

At one point, DC really needs to clarify Black Canary's origin(s)/ backstory, since evidently it looks like Williamson is saying her DCYou series is still in play?

Not just her DCyou series, in Deathstroke Inc. Williamson brought in her mom, Dinah's time on the New 52 Team 7 was still a thing as was her time on the 90's era Bird of Prey/JSA (at the very least its her 90's costume).



So effectively Dinah's current history if we follow it is child legacy of the Golden Age JSA hero, became a goverment operative/spy, then a Rockstar, and then Superhero dating Green Arrow.

But when Rebirth began, it appeared the Ollie / Dinah history may have pre-dated her (then) recent turn as a rockstar?

It’s possible they have a history prior to them seriously dating, ie when they were starting out in their careers.

Kind of like this scene shared earlier.

If BC’s time as a singer is still canon, it would make sense she’d have a fan wanting to follow in her footsteps.
I just wish it had been written better. The story was really boring and she doesn’t seem to have a real personality.

Wow, so Ollie didn't know Dinah was the second Black Canary? Did he really think she was old enough to have been with the Justice Society? That story is set before they started having legacy heroes like Stargirl in the team, with the exception of Power Girl they were probably all pretty old.

So not only do we get more Red Canary in Dark Crisis Warzone today, but she also gets to team up with Dinah and the two just interact. It’s not like a one quick moment either, once the two meet the rest of of the story is them working together and Red Canary telling Dinah how her music inspired her. It’s nice and gives the feeling like Red Canary could really be Dinah’s future sidekick/partner.

Yeah, I can see RC being in two books - Teen Titans and Green Arrow.

Yeah, definitely a new character. Which makes me wonder why they're taking so long to reveal her secret identity. It's not a spoiler if it's not an existing character.

Zero Hour is likely the culprit. Until that point Dinah’s mom was still very much young.

Because DC doesn't care about Sin or anybody's attachment to her? To DC, she's a relic from an era they don't care for. Just an obstacle to be removed (and was) so that Dinah could go back to her "rightful" place as Green Arrow's bedmate and junior partner. As far as they're concerned, they successfully got rid of her and find it annoying that anybody expects her to ever be brought back.
