So, in other words, ditching most of the New52 Black Canary origin / background story?
Somewhere she had a connection with Slade Wilson, and then there was her apparent rock star phase. Black Canary had some major changes post-Flashpoint and they may not be as easy to integrate with her previous backstory.
(And of course it doesn't seem like DC is big on spelling out what is still "canon" or not . . . )

Did Black Canary ever team up with Jonni Thunder ("a.k.a. Thunderbolt")?

I think in 10 years real time, they’ll be disconnected from WWII.
The creators will have no choice but to.

In that case, there will be no point to claiming they're the Justice Society of America . . . they'd just be another generic superhero team.

    Seriously?

She had her four-issue series in 1985; she had appearances in Crisis on Infinite Earths

and also appeared post-CoIE in Infinity Inc. (usually with Skyman?)

She also got a couple of Who's Who entries.

Regarding the unanswered question, no, I'm not aware of Jonni ever meeting either of the Canaries. And why would they? What makes you think they should have met already?

It just seems like a good coincidence. Jonni Thunder following in her private detective father's footsteps echoes the original Dinah Drake's 1970s origin of training with her policeman father in an attempt to join the police department.
Plus, original Black Canary got her start in the Johnny Thunder feature.

The obvious solution would presumably be to move the mainstay JSA to the 60s (leave the lesser know guys in WWII as the Justice Battalion/All Star Squadron

Alternatively, for Canary borrow Carolyn from the BoP as an intermediary generation between the two Dinah’s?

Incorporating Carolyn or Sara would be fun. Carolyn could be Dinah Drakes mom or DLL mom w/Dinah being the grandmother who Dinah is named after.
