So two questions for the more educated on the Spectre:
1. He works for god so does he ever lead dead heroes spirits, and maybe their families, to heaven? Like he think as the worlds heroes they deserve a proper resting place?
2. Has there ever been a story about why gods chosen spirit of vengeance helped form the JSA? Like did god have some vested interest in the JSA forming, especially if we look at Doomsday clock and how the JSA informed other heroes?

The Spectre does not lead spirits to heaven, period. He's God's Wrath, not a guardian angel. And why does there need to be a specific story about why he helped form the JSA? He was just one of several heroes involved. You do know that at the time, he was spending much of his time as Detective Jim Corrigan, even though the rest of the world didn't know he was dead, right?
Just an inquisitive mind is all/thought experiment/bored Saturday afternoon reading some JSA and Spectre.
But come on you got to admit it’s likely a little weird that both God’s Wrath and Nabu lord of order via his agent Doctor Fate were both at the founding of a classic team of heroes who if Doomsday Clock is to be believed helped inspire Clark Kent to be Superboy and lead to the Legion of Superheroes. A team of characters who a lot of the hero community look up to and we’re trained by.

No, I don't, because I don't agree that it's weird. Why is it weird? Why are you making too much out of this? Why not ask why the chosen wielder of the Starheart's power AND a reincarnated Egyptian prince were both part of the JSA's founding? Or the guy who was gifted control of the Thunderbolt AND a guy who run at superspeeds who also wore a shirt with a lightning bolt on it? There isn't any stupid "meta" reason for this -- these were among the characters that the proto-DC had available to them at the time. There doesn't need to have been some in-universe behind the scenes plan behind this.
And Doomsday Clock was a colossal waste of time, paper, and talent whose best days are behind them (Johns AND Frank), that almost immediately got thrown into the garbage by DC just about as soon as it ended. It's "impact" on the founding of the JSA or anything else is hugely overrated.
Alright then I’ll leave with saying one thing….Spectre is in the animated short Constantine the house of mystery if anyone cares to watch it.

Been re-reading Ostrander's run. Some really great stuff here.
I'm working my way through the prior volume by Doug Monech, really solid stories there as well which got eclipsed because Ostrander's run was so ground breaking. If they ever want to make a live action Spectre, this should be the model.

Anthologies never sell, but I'd love to see another go of Legends of the DCU where stories could be told of characters from any point in the past (or future). Spectre is too great a concept to no be used once in a while!
So is it cool to ask peoples favorite Spectre vengeance moment? Dude enacts vengeance a lot so he gets his moments, but it can be gruesome so was unsure.
Mine is when he turned Arthur Light into a candle a light him on fire. Cathartic and good irony for a villain called Doctor light.
