Things are currently looking up for Steph with the launch of the Batgirls series. It's probably the best situation she's been in since her reintroduction in Batman Eternal. Will this positive trend continue? Will her appearances in Batwoman and Young Justice herald more and better appearances in other media?

2022 is the 30 year anniversary of Stephanie Brown’s first appearance in Detective Comics #647! And the first issue of Detective Comics to be released in 2022 will be this week’s #1047, the 400 issue anniversary of her first appearance in that series! #1047 is the first part of the weekly Detective Comics event “Shadows of the Bat”, featuring several members of the Bat family including Stephanie!

Thanks for starting a new thread! So happy for Steph's role in Batgirls so far, and can't wait to see what 2022 has in store for her! Hopefully some really cool adventures! Have some variant covers by Joshua Middleton and Michael Cho!

Sadly, I bet DC isn't even aware of her anniversary, since they completely skipped Babs's anniversary. But that shouldn't prevent us from throwing a bit 30th birthday party for her in June!

Steph hasn't actually appeared in Shadows of the Bat yet (though she was featured in gorgeous Dan Mora art in 1046!), but she was mentioned, and got those beautiful Irvin Rodriguez covers!
