Stephanie Brown: Spoiler, Robin, Batgirl Appreciation 2022

Has the cover of Dark Crisis: Young Justice #1 been discussed? Todd Nauck's variant includes a team with Spoiler. (Well, I guess not much of a discussion is warranted, just an observation.)

I have little luck with this so these attachments will probably look tiny... but here they are.

VERY. That's the very shortlived Young Justice team Garfield set up, only lasted two issues. However, Spoiler and Stargirl weren't on the team. It should be the other four (Changeling, Flamebird, CM3 and Batgirl) plus Lagoon Boy. Courtney was probably included due to their early attempt to recruit the then-Star Spangled Kid (she turned them down due to already being on the JSA), and Spoiler was on Bendis's YJ roster, which is otherwise omitted (no Jinny Hex, Teen Lantern, Amethyst or Naomi on there).

For an Elseworld, okay - if for some reason he feels he has to do this. For main continuity, that gets a downvote from me.

There is no historical basis to the costume. Except for purple, it doesn't derive from Spoiler v1, Batgirl v1, Spoiler v2a (full mask) or Spoiler v2b (half mask), or Batgirl v2. And the belt thing she's wearing looks like more like machine gun bullets. There's no armor on the suit (or whatever the heavier material is).

It's like a totally new character - and, why? It's not like he's redesigned anyone else, as far as I noticed. This is just not something anybody asked for!

He's missed issues requiring fill-in artists, and the book has suffered a lot of delays, so I would prefer it if he would spend his time staying on schedule, and leave Steph alone!

Well, sad in the sense of the characters (other than the OC) deserving better, but it's not like they've really shown much worth investing into in my opinion.
