Or adoptive daughter! anything before BvS is fine really. The DCU timeline is pretty flexible here.

Just yeet her in the general direction.

Being her actual daughter would explain her powers though. Sure, she's adopted in the comics, but she gets her powers granted on Paradise Island - that isn't possible in the movies is it?

Well, actual daughter of Diana is usually... Lyta Trevor.

Donna Troy has never been biologically related to Diana... except in the stories where she's actually Diana's younger self.

Also, as you pointed out... you need a logic for why Donna has powers. The original.. was just a temporally displaced WW. So had the same powers exactly.

Random kid with Amazon training is... weird. An actual normal Human with no genuine powers? um... it... "strains credulity" as one person put it.

This is why I like the Titans of Myth origin. She can be a random Human saved by Diana from a house fire... who was born with no powers, but granted them by Rhea or whoever.

New 52 Earth 2 Donna was Diana's daughter, actually. There's precedent.

    Well, Donna yes, Troy, no.

Apparently the daughter of ... Steppenwolf????

Very different personal history though... she's basically raised an amazon.

They've long made it clear they aren't following the continuity of the Snyder movies so they don't have to worry about anything contradicting BvS.

Well, that version was basically Fury who was called Donna instead of Lyta for some reason.

Is Donna a year older than Dick?

I recall Dick was still in college (thus 18) when Raven recruited them and Donna was explicitly said to be 19 at the time. It wasn't until a few years later that Dick was aged up to being 19 which is the age he became Nightwing at.

Movie Donna should just be another offspring of a Greek god and a human. It's simple and would make a nice plot for a WW vs WW movie.

I think Wally, Donna and Dick were at least the same age for NTT. Dick and Wally were both in college but Dick dropped out and Donna was working so she would've probably appeared older than her male friends.

Yeah, that would be the simplest way to go about it.

They could even do the 'created by a rival civilization to kill WW' origin with her only this time it's Circe who helps create her.

    Or Rhea.

The reason Rhea had for.. that... could be tweaked to involved curbing the power of the Greek gods.

Which sorta borrows from Deva's origin. But less murderous. Then again, there was already some similarities between the two characters due to the concept of "Titans create a teen villain/hero".

That feels unnecessarily pedantic. Especially for an AU character. It's still Donna.

Is it though? there's no similarity to Donna Troy other than the name "Donna"... also since it's a character who used the name "Fury", in some ways Donna of Paradise island is like an alt-U Lyta Trevor.

Well back in the day, Amazon Training was basically a way of training body and mind , focusing your increased mental energy I to physical strength. The poi t of Amazon Training was that any woman could do it, if she dedicated herself.

But in addition to that , the Amazons used the Purple Ray to siphon of a fraction of each of their powers to give Donna her actual powers...
