Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”

Indeed, but that doesn't help Quicksilver now does it? Marvel for whatever reason has never had a really good speedster, because they confine them all to team settings. It would have helped Pietro immensely if he chose not to go to Krakoa but stay in the USA. Pietro has such a prickly personality that the fanbase would have accepted any reason for not going. Then he could have actually had a city of his own (NOT NEW YORK) and began to build an actual stable of non-mutant villains to fight.

    But, X-character got to X-character.

He's got history (and beef) with the High Evolutionary, who is (spins the wheel) in one of his 'kill-alla-mutants' moods again this decade, so there's valid reason for Pietro to get all mixed up in upcoming vs. High Evolutionary shenanigans. (Various New Warriors, including mutant Justice, *and* the Eternals, also have reason to be all up in Wyndam's business, per the last New Warriors run, when he, *yet again,* tried to kill all the mutants (Atlanteans, Inhumans, etc.) on Earth!)

There's also precedent for a 'New Man', one of the Evolutionary's Island of Dr. Moreau-hybrids, to have some pretty buff super-powers, with the Mongoose, whose speed and strength allowed him to not-die-instantly when facing the likes of Thor, so it's entirely plausible that Pietro, with his past working with various New Men / Knights of Wundagore, could end up with allies, or even a *team* of animal-human hybrids with advanced tech and even actual super-powers (a bird-peep with a sonic cry, stuff like that).

And Pietro could prove or disprove once and for all that the High Evolutionary had anything to do with his empowerment, or if Chthon had anything to do with his empowerment, or if he's 'just a mutant,' or a little from columns A and B?

Maybe have him somewhere in europe instead. Play to his heritage, and family. Plus put him in a not as used setting. Had a mini series idea for him that is somewhere in his thread of this year where the identity of their father is told, along with what they are, and put what his views on Magneto should be.

What’s this regarding? Has there been any new comic announcements featuring Pietro??/

He did have his solo series in the 90s but it didn't do so well. I think he makes a better villain than hero.
