I just caught up with Xmen and noticed that Negasonic is now on Krakoa, and I can't help but think it a shame she and Emma haven't even had any type of interaction since her resurrection. Like Emma carried her body out of the wreckage from Genosha, I can't help but feel that there is story potential there between the two

I want to like it but...this just seems like a red-carpet version of her New X-Men look.
"Diamond cut-outs" is such a basic fashion statement for Emma. *design notes...Emma. Diamond. Cut outs to show skin.

Some of the other designs had much greater Haute Couture potential, though.

In contrast to last year's looks I would have gone completely opposite and have her not showing an bare skin at all. Keeping the silhouette simple and almost understated...almost, with the focus on texture and/or diamond accessories.

Wow I really missed all these gala announcements in the past few days.

I won't pretend I understand anything about fashion and current tendencies, but I dig it anyway. It has the right measures of sexy and elegance, and I just always thought that white + gold would be a good combo for Emma's outfits, too bad it's always for limited time events (the phoenix Five, now the gala). Also the diamond cutouts forming an X is like double simbology for Emma and I like these details.

Is she going to wear a bunch of outfits like last year? Or, since this is just a one shot this time, this is the only one?

Gilles wanted to make her a villain again way back during his first run, so I must admit I’m nervous about how he will write her. Immortal as a whole should be good however.
