Yes, I know, his introductory series from 2008. But he hasn't appeared in another one-shot or limited series of his own since. Several other Marvel characters have been given multiple series, but not Blue Marvel.

This thread needs a little more fan art. Not sure of the artist here, but this is incredible work.

I thought the same awhile back when I saw a couple of those renderings. Unfortunately, it's just another black man who got the stock "old dude going gray" hairstyle.

I really doubt it, since both are mini series. Unless they decide to later do another mini combining both teams.
But Defenders really seems to be its own thing and the team won't probably have any purpose after their quest is over.

I love Al Ewing's writing 99% of the time, but he's a Blue Marvel tease. Yes he got Adam in here, but do you know how many higher profile books he was doing on cosmic level and he could have, should have brought Blue Marvel in.

What do we think of this as a one-off?

What If The Prowler was Blue Marvel? Not something I was expecting to see.

The power of the Blue Marvel being bestowed upon a younger character is an idea that I've entertained for years. I do not want that power to wind up in the hands of any of Marvel's existing "old guard" characters, e.g., the Prowler, Falcon, James Rhodes, Luke Cage, T'Challa, Bill Foster, etc. It's ok if it's a "What If?" one-off deal, but if they're going to move this power permanently to someone -- and Adam Brashear's own children aren't an option -- then I'd prefer to see someone like Elijah Bradley get the nod.

This looks interesting, it seems that Blue Marvel will be leading the Defenders in this iteration.

You would not be able to tell just by looking at the covers or reading the solicits. Really hope they do right by Adam here and he doesn't get shafted for any of the others.
