Lorna and Laura being there makes it feel like this was written during the time they were on the main X-Men team, although I guess Gambit and Psylocke are there too. Carol has no history with Kwannon compared to Betsy so that feels kind of weird.

I wonder if Alex Ross models Carol's face after anyone IRL. She looks a bit Charlize Theron-y at times under his brush....
