I would agree there. I was glad to see Jack pick up that identity.

    I like The Captain.
What, no CapWolf love? I lean towards Commander Rogers, yes and not the old cranky one. Nick Fury of Howler fame is my preferred cranky.

    I like The Captain.
The Captain, although I wish he would have had a better moniker. The Captain was just so basic.

Too bad the name "The American" was already being used at Dark Horse. They could have also used Patriot at that time.

Someone has a story out there where Steve Rogers becomes the Falcon … that’d explode a few heads.

Marvel should have snagged the rights for Kirby’s other patriotic character, the Fighting American.

I’m kinda surprised Jack Monroe hasn’t come back yet. Unless I missed that somewhere.

As far as I know, not yet. Which is kind of sad, really.

Very sad. I just read the original Winter Soldier storyline a couple of days ago. I didn't like seeing Jack Monroe go down like that. (I really liked the Nomad series back in the nineties.)

I’d love to see he come back as the Scourge. Or the Red Room could subvert him into one of the Soviet Supersoldiers.

I am so there with you it’s not even funny. I had to reread it because I couldn’t get the tears out of my eyes. I loved the mini and ongoing Nomad series that had come out in the 90’s. I had them all. All he wanted to be was like Bucky and Cap and look what he got for it. The road to hell is literally paved with good intentions.

Speaking of Steve's identities (and The Captain gets my vote, just because of how powerful that "Man without a County" was at the time, creative team firing on all cylinders, Kieron Dwyer's art has never been better), which do you recon Steve was in AVENGERS:INFINITY WAR?
Nomad? I've seen some materials refer to him thus because of the nature of the Secret Avengers team being on the move during that period.
The Captain? Blacked star on the costume, fallen out with government etc...
