    Default REVIEW: Batman/Superman #13

    Writer: Greg Pak

    Artist: Jae Lee

    Colorist: June Chung

    Publication Date: Aug. 27, 2014

    Summary

Batman and Superman have amnesia and galavant around Gotham stopping bad guys, and trying to figure out who they are.

    What I Liked

✔The concept for this story is cool
✔Seeing Batman and Superman just naturally gravitate toward what they do best was amusing
✔Refreshing to see Bruce enjoy his work without all of the heavy brooding

    What I Didn’t Like

✘Art looked smudged, faces were odd, and some panels looked like horribly done watercolors
✘Plot seemed a bit thin--Great concept, but the execution, so far, doesn't seem interesting
    ✘Very little character development
    ✘Somewhat boring

    Themes

Sometimes we forget who we are, but we usually find the right path thanks to the people in our lives.

    Score 6/10

I thought Jae Lee stepped down his usual precision to focus on backgrounds and better sequential flow. I thought it worked and was necessary for this story.

I didn't see any other thread about this issue.

To each his own, but my opinion, I was not feeling the art at all. I like clean art, meaning art that is easy to see, clear, ect. This, IMO, was none of the above.
