Kind of curious what the premise is. Felicia stealing some earrings and she overhears an affair? Or an affair that turns into murder?

No; its just an unlettered preview since the release of the book is still several weeks away. There were preview pages from the other stories released as well, and they were also all unlettered at this point.

I think for Felicia Peter was basically the love of her life that she lost through her own fault and still cares about even though she knows he'll never look at her the way she does the "redhead" (MJ), and for Peter he has a long history with Felicia and cares about her a lot, so that plays into it.

This is another confused plot in my mind. In "MJ/Black Cat Beyond" Felicia literally says that Peter was the first man she truly loved... but is this true? I mean, I've always looked at them as "sexual" partners, having a strong attraction but that was it. She even dumped him when he revealed his true identity, because she loved Spider-Man and not Peter Parker. It looks like writers are shifting Felicia's character to a more "serious" one and not the usual hot femme fatale who pushed Spider-Man into dangerous situations.
