No, that is not at all what happened in the story. Nothing that Charles did changes any of the reinterpretation of Moira's appearances by Hickman. This is just something that has had no effect on her history and will only matter in the future. Even if Moira does something with this revelation that can rewrite her history to a version that resembles the original it would still be of her own choice as Charles says.

I think she's getting primed for, if not a full redemption arc, because time is limited, at least some sort of redemption act. I'm very curious to find out if she's going to be restored to her human self before it's all said and done.
