In the earliest Silver Age FLASH stories, Barry found himself up against all kinds of crazy crap, from cloud creatures that attacked Central City with lightning and wind to subterranean fish beings with advanced technology. I'd like to see adaptations pit Barry against *that* kind of Silver Age craziness.

I don't remember that one; I do remember him getting a kiss from some Egyptian princess that he rescued while troubleshooting around the planet, resulting in his being late again for a date with Iris.

That's why his original solo is so damn epic...he's going up against some serious mayhem that by the time we hit 40 or 50 issues he's practically a veteran. I think Flash is one of the best pre crisis solo books ever.

There's no real argument there... I mean, Barry has one of the three best rogue galleries in comics, right? Batman and Spider-Man being the other two.

Flash has one of the best rogues' galleries because they are a perfect blend of sci fi, fantasy, and street level villains.

I was reading like a first collection of Silver Age stories and I think it was one of the early stories of Barry as The Flash...Barry was going around the world and getting kissed by various women he was saving.

    I concur. Truly imaginative (IMHO):

Wasn't there a thread asking which Barry Allen story you would like to see adapted that wasn't Flashpoint/dead mom based? Or was that a very vivid hallucination?

Anyway, my suggestion was Flash of Two Worlds.

Most likely. I love that version of BA because he is a hero not borne out of tragedy, and I think that version would be more refreshing for modern audiences personally.

    Mine is "Gauntlet of Supervillains."

Simple, fun, done in one. It would have been a perfect story to adapt for a ive-action Flash movie.

13 episodes, then no more Grant Gustin - the CW Flash show ends next season.

I'm actually okay with this news. The show had a long, successful run.

It's a shame we never saw a Flash vs Captain Boomerang fight on the show.
