Default Most Awesome Moments in Marvel Comics Appreciation 2022

Hi all. Just wanted to make a thread devoted to the most awesome moments in Marvel Comics. This is for those moments that were amazing, spectacular, fantastic, and uncanny. It's for those scenes that shocked and surprised you, that made you go "wow," and that still resonate with you years later. They can be badass or tender, well-known or particular. In short whichever moments that were awesome.

To get an idea, here are some of my favorites:

The original Secret Wars is a favorite of mine. I've heard some posters say that a lot of the characters were op'd at the time, but wow they pulled off some good stuff. Of course there's the iconic cover of Hulk holding up the mountain range from the original Secret Wars:

But some of my favorite scenes are the ones that aren't well known. For instance, I always thought it was cool to see how the heroes escaped the mountain, through a combination of Mr. Fantastic's science and the powers of Human Torch, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man:

Or how Iron Man and Hawkeye shoot down on coming debris:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Spider-Man lifting of the rubble is classic:

For me though, I appreciate the homages. My first exposure was Mark Bagley's rendition:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

And JRJr would do it twice during his run with J. Michael Stracynski (apologies can only find the one time):

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

When you are so confident not even beings that killed the Living Tribunal can scare you

Kingpin learns that a man without hope is a man without fear:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

One of my favorite scenes from Wolverine #145. Both Wolverine and Sabertooth are fighting at the will of Apocalypse. This was to decide who would be the new Horseman of Death. This was the last time we'd see Wolverine with his bone claws. But he reminds us why he's still the best there is even with them:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."
