I absolutely loved this fight as well. Frank like always was going down fighting. No bullets left in his chamber.

One of the most heart-breaking moments coming from the classic 1994 Marvels #2. The whole issue was this contrast between this age of marvelous heroes, of the Avengers and Fantastic Four who captivated and thrilled the ordinary people of the Marvel and X-Men and the mutants who frightened them. This tension comes very close to home, literally for the narrator Phil Sheldon who discovers that his daughters have taken in a little mutant girl named Maggie:

Maggie isn't a part of the X-Men. She's not part of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants either. As Phil states, she's just a little girl, who's alone in a world that wants to hurt her. For many of us who know, we know how the issue ends and how poignant it is. Now spoiler alert spoilers:

we thankfully see Maggie survived and went on to do great things in Marvel: Eye of the Camera. She visited Phil before his passing. We got a happy ending there.
