Total utter domination for Miyagi. Pressure points, literally untouchable defense, casual "catch an arrow out of the air" speed, breaks giant logs and beams with bare hands. Rocky defends generally by blocking with his face. That's not going to work out that well for him.

Presuming the ring's outside, Rocky's kit is a bit more versatile than he gets credit for, besides his constitution for eating straights from a Swedish boxer made in a Soviet lab.

Yes, this is from Rocky V, which is cornier and a bit siller than usual for the series, but I feel this is notable for a few reasons.

Rocky, in his punch-drunk condition with no specific match training, swarmed and got the first knockdown against the newly minted heavyweight champion. He also demonstrates 'dirty boxing' skills where he pulls down Tommy's guard in the clinch, applying crude collar-ties, joint locks, in addition to a few takedowns and grappling escapes.

He also circles around and weaves under Tommy's punches a few times, which is highly unusual for his usual MO, but shows he's capable of doing it.

If Rocky grabs Miyagi, and his footwork is much fleeter than Kreese, Silver, and Chozen, it's over.

There is simply no chance that he grabs the significantly quicker Miyagi before Miyagi pressure-points him to unconsciousness or throws him through a wall or two.

Miyagi fights like an old and largely immobile man. At what point is catching an arrow SMvsFL when placed shading pretty much every other instance of him doing combat?

And his breaking of logs requires wind up that he simply won't have in an actual fight. Logs don't hit back.

The Miyagi-do pressure points are all on the inside of limbs, at spots that are naturally guarded, which is why both Danny and Chozen only used them after blocking their opponent's strike and pulling their arm out (Chozen v Danny) or blocking a wide swing (Danny v Kreese). They aren't something that they can just throw out.

They aren't actually significantly more effective than many other options if you have someone's guard wide open (even in-universe), the point is that they disable the opponent without risking killing them since Miyagi-do is otherwise pretty bad at stopping people - see for example Karate Kid 3, where both Silver and Kreese were back up within moments of being defeated by Miyagi and could have chosen to keep fighting if they felt like it.

Also, Johnny flat out kept right on fighting even with his arm briefly paralyzed.

In all honesty? I'm not entirely sure Miyagi can even hurt Rocky really with all of the insane damage he's face tanked.
