    From Bleeding Cool:
. . . We know that period. That was the fallout of the Batman: Damned project by Brian Azzarello and Lee Bermejo that made international headlines including a spot on The Last Show With Stephen Colbert, when the comic portrayed a naked Bruce Wayne. A story first reported – amd then revealed by Bleeding Cool. The publication, and embarassment it caused DC Comics to put the kibosh on a number of projects, and editorial told to remove anything that might cause an unfortunete headline. Some books were bowlderised, others like Second Coming were dropped completely. And it seems that one of the victims may have been a Sin City/Batman crossover with Frank Miller.
Really, Rich? You couldn't get the name of Stephen Colbert's show correct?

Will Clark actually show up in this? If she's working at CatCo, will Cat show up in this? I wonder if she ends up leaving for the Planet by the end of the book.

    - So Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass except if Harley had split-personalities. Still got "Jack" for Harley and Pam for Harleen. Looks like they're keeping her being a gymnast to explain the stuff she pulls off as Harley. I really like the art style.

    - So Virgil already has his powers? Is he already Static? Is the "reluctant rapper" Rubberband Man?
I would be more worried about the writer than the rapper.

Why don't they just toss out the Kyle Baker Static book since we know it's done.

Depends on which version of him you get.

If this book is anything like Not So Pure And Simple by Giles
A book that was fine until it went 100+ pages of black male bashing that mirrors a certain Wakanda book at Marvel.

In this madcap story of one night, a series of encounters and events leads to an adventure involving Super-Villains, a diner, a reluctant rapper, and a size-changing kleptomaniac, as well as Virgil’s frequent bad decision making.
Gee that mirrors Not so Pure and Simple. That lead did a TON of bad decision making, he had a BBF that was gay and a girl that tagged along.

As for the villains- one could be Rubber Band Man and the other could be the Virus from Static #9.

Yeah, that line stood out to me a lot. Like, I'm not asking for Virgil to be perfect but I don't want him to come off as dumb and incompetent.

Please. We all know the most hung man in Gotham is Mr. Freeze. All thrill, no chill.

I'd be excited for a different creative team. Brisson has never wowed me on anything and I've given several of his books a try.

Wait so he’s going to write both Deathstroke Inc. and Batman Inc.? If he doesn’t do a crossover called corporate takeover I will be shocked.

Haven't read enough of his work to fully judge him myself, seems like he's mostly given fill-in work or B/C list characters for big 2 work. It'll definitely be interesting to read the batman annual tomorrow, knowing it'll spinoff into a full series.

That said, not a fan of John Timms artwork. At least when he was on son of kal el.
