A new Teen Titans comic book series gives a hint at the big villains for HBO Max's Titans season 4

    https://www.thepopverse.com/a-new-te...itans-season-4

While it may seem surprising given the events of June's Dark Crisis #1, DC's Teen Titans will be united once more in a new six-issue comic book series this fall. Just don't call them 'Teen' Titans.

Titans United: Bloodpact is a six-issue series beginning this September, inspired by the current HBO Max series Titans (and the new characters set to debut in the upcoming fourth season). But while it's inspired by the Titans show, it's not a spin-off - it's actually a sequel to the 2021 Titans United comic book series set squarely in DCU continuity.

"The Titans are back, united against a common foe...aren’t they?" reads DC's description of Titans United: Bloodpact #1. "All seems lost when Tim Drake wakes, out of uniform and seemingly out of time. Surely he was just fighting alongside Nightwing, Superboy, Starfire, Beast Boy, and Donna Troy? But where is Raven and what links her to the Fearsome Five? A blood sacrifice is coming that will change the world forever."

Titans United: Bloodpact is written by Cavan Scott (writer of the original Titans United series), and drawn by Lucas Meyer. The main cover is drawn by Eddy Barrows, with variant covers by Derrick Chew, Taurin Clarke, and Stephen Byrne. Check them out here:

The return of the only decent Titans book, now minus Red Hood.

Why don’t they take that Titans lineup and make it an in-universe series?

I know, right? It makes no sense.
Cavan Scott already made a good series with Titans United, just put the guy in a series in-universe.

It only just dawned on me that it's being written by one of the main High Republic writers.

The writer on Twitter said if it becomes popular then it will be part of the main continuity.

Would it work if they just set it after Dark Crisis (i.e. when the Academy no longer exists)? All they'd need to do is have Conner back in his 2003-2011 look again like in these books, instead of the retraux of his 90s look that he's had since Bendis's Young Justice.

First we need to know Gar's fate in Dark Crisis for this to work in continuity.

I'd be surprised if his supposed death isn't revealed to be a Cybeast related fakeout.

Sorry for the rant, But seeing that we have no Green Lantern run, can't have two Flash ongoing runs and yet we can get Damian and Tim ongoing run show that DC only give privilege to Batfamily these days. Of course, Batman sells because that is all DC ever promotes nowadays. Maybe if DC tried to diversify their lineup, we would not be in the mess we are currently in. Marvel managed to do it and their sales have been booming ever since.

I am sorry, even since when I see the latest solicitations between DC and Marvel. I don't need to look twice because I already know which ones are more exciting.
