I think it was something to the effect that Manhattan interfered with Clarks' origin to turn him into New 52 Supes so he could better relate to him but a piece of Post-Crisis Supes was retained in Convergence and they eventually fused together into the Superman they were meant to be.

(I might be totally off-base. It was kind of convoluted).

Later the New 52 Superman cropped up again when the Justice League went into some sort of mindscape and found him throwing tantrums that he was being forgotten about and phased out.

And then the New 52 Superman from Grant Morrison's phase of Action Comics was brought back for...reasons, and he's still fighting the good fight somewhere

The thing is I've never read Wild.c.a.t.s. Gen13 and the authority sure but not Wildc.a.t.s so I have no idea about this team aside from random Grifter appearances, so I know of them I just don’t know who’s actually on the team and what it is they do.

Caitlin was easily my favourite Gen13er so if we're not getting a new Gen13 book I'm glad I will at least be able to read about her in WildC.A.T.S. I'm curious about what every character's background is going to be now that they're (again) integrated into the DCU. I assume Kherubims/Daemonites and shady shadow agencies doing genetic experiments could still work...

I hope they fold in Kherubims and Deamonites, DC’s cosmic scene could use more factions. Shadowy secret agencies are already a thing in the DCU so other than maybe making Waller the head, I don’t think there will be a problem there.
