We already know blue Jon isn't permanent - he has a different new costume on that Super family teaser image, remember.

The symbol in his chest on that image is actually the Eletric S that Superman blue had it.
Also, Clark could be in and out of that form at will, so i would assume that Jon could too.

But i think this not being permanent is a safer bet.

Yeah, this is probably going to be similar to one of those Marvel events where everyone was Hulked out or had venom symbiote. 2 months later nobody even remembers that it happened.

Yeah; I could go with Jon being Electric Superman — though I'm not thrilled about the fact that they're not taking it all the way and are leaving his head unchanged. But that's just a nitpick.

I mean, I'd still prefer that he ultimately be reverted to the kid that he was before Bendis came; but this has potential, too: I could see them using this to explore the possibility that the “energy form Superman” wasn't a one-off thing unique to Superman himself, but is in fact something that's somehow inherent to all Kryptonians.

I have to agree that I would prefer that Jon be reverted back to the kid that he was . If that's not going to happen , then maybe this electric blue Young Superman would be something to make him different from his father.
Jon being only half Kryptonian should a thing that would make him different from both Kal & Kara , let's explore that and have some good stories written about him.
