What do you think of the rumor that the Green Arrow series is just a six-issue mini-series?

Still excited for this. Premise sounds damn good and Priest is a hell of a talent.

Man I love living in an era of DC where Superman gets some quality attention and effort.
After writing JL he expressed interest in handling Superman in a solo matter. He’s also been complaining about that he was starting to feel like he was getting pigeonholed as “the villains writer” the same way he was pigeonholed as a “black writer” on some podcast interviews I listened to. Writing Superman is certainly one way to break out of that lol.

Length of series doesn’t matter, only it’s quality. If it’s great it could go the way of swamp thing and poison Ivy and expand.

And if we’re lucky it could spin-off into another series.

    Words to live by.

I remember him saying someting about how DC wouldn't let him do what he wanted with Superman because it would change the character too much. Or maybe it was Warren Ellis?

I'm even more interested now and I was already looking forward to the series. The only thing I don't dig is the change from red/white to orange/white for their costumes but that's a minor thing to me.

I think it probably has more to do with Dawn of DCU being a "year's worth of storytelling" as I believe some of the press releases previously described it as. Hence why for instance PKJ's GL is apparently planned to be a miniseries too.

Despite DC labeling it a 12 issue series, Geoff Johns says in a new word balloon interview JSA will be a ongoing title! It’s around 31 minutes into this interview https://youtu.be/6YIo6NuSTas

Somebody should sit Beast Girl and Degenerate down and tell them what happened to all the previous "new members" of the Doom Patrol. Let them know that they just become redshirts.

Lol maybe they had qualms about if Johns will actually stick around past 12 issues. Two other options are that they’ll extend the series if it does well like they did Ram V’s Swamp Thing, or that they’re going to do the book in “seasons” where it will relaunch after each 12 issue arc. Or Johns is simply mistaken.

At this point it feels like the Big Two sets a lot of stuff up as a mini and then if it sells well just keeps it going as an ongoing.

I wonder what is going on internally at DC. Johns also recently said JSA being solicited as a limited series was a mistake. Same with Rosenberg and Wildcats.

I'm all for it. I hope Williamson's run comes and goes quickly and that a new team launches a monthly. GA is a favorite of mine and I'm just tired from being nonplussed by one Williamson story after the next--he's been running in place, all over the place, for two years now and I've read enough of his GA to know there's not really anything there, for me anyway.

I was hoping flex mentallo would be a part of this.

Well that's not quite what Rosenberg said:

Like others have mentioned DC seems very to be "we'll give you an arc to see how it sells" mode for anything that isn't guaranteed to be a 100% success.
