Kinda want Firestar to win just to see the reaction of people mad

So when will they announce the winner? I get the feeling the next Gala is going to be smaller as an event than the last if it's so soon

Yeah I want her to win just for everyone calling her a cop

They'll mistreat her but still she'll have panel time

Very petty and I want a lot more for most of the list but some people are so hypocritical in their approach I can't help it

Most of the cop comments are just people joking around, it’s not that serious for them. I just don’t want Firestar because I think she’s boring, in both ability and appearance. Writers can keep insisting that her power is unique, call it microwave manipulation or whatever, but at the end of the day she’s just another fire character.

I hope Monet is able to take this, but I guess I underestimated the power of Amazing Friends or whatever it was called. I've never had much thoughts when it comes to Firestar, but I find the discord around the character kind of off putting, and I hope she doesn't get the role just so that I don't have to sit through pages of the same discussion. Duggan calling her a cop was clearly a joke, and people acting as if he's going to go out of his way to destroy a character is just silly. People talked a lot of shit last year too with the vote. It's not that deep.

I know Angelica has ties to the X-Men, but she is barley a blip on the radar when it comes to the franchise and I'd much prefer seeing another character get this opportunity with a main X-Men title.

Yeah last year it was Polaris getting all the hate on twitter. "She only won because of the Gifted" was banded about a lot.

Not entirely sure why you think that'd be necessary. Cap even implied he understands the resurrection protocols are a thing so there's not really any secrets to keep.

God no. People act like shes been an avenger for as long as Tony Stark! She was an avenger for less than 2 years. She's been associated with the X-Men for far longer. She was even on the team for a while.

Writers just need to stop portraying her as a rookie. In the new warriors she was a strong and confident character. Heck, she's saved the world a few times too.

Considering Quire being very upset he didn’t a chance to see all of Tony’s secrets during the Gala, and general telepathy stuff, I don’t think Krakoa has a leg to stand on, even if the Avengers wanted to spy on them (No indications they do), or if Firestar agreed (Again no indication she would).

They should do mini books of the contestants being eliminated issue by issue until we have a final four. Could be more on the comedic and character building side.

Didn't she appear in X-Men Red alongside Storm and Captain America, or was that Amazing X-Men? I thought she was portrayed as a more knowledgeable member of their emergency team.
