Interesting that Wong was included in this. I'm guessing we might see her on a xmen book this year

Funny how Percy is the worst writer even on these short endorsements lol.
Huh it sounds like potentially the entire team might get replaced... ? Since they keep talking about other picks outside of this vote. If so, oof.
As of now I’m assuming that Jean, Scott, Ev, and Laura are safe because they showed up on the Destiny of X teaser. I could see other characters getting replaced like Monet for Rogue, Firestar for Sunfire, etc. I’m hoping it’s only 1 or 2 personnel changes and who that is might vary on who wins the vote. Of course this all speculation.

They mentioned other members on this team, whih will likely include one previous candidate. But my main takeaway from this is that Hellion could theoretically already be on the team, which would explain why he's not on the ballot.

Yeah, the Polaris focused issue made me worried she's not going to stick around for the next team, judging by her letter to Northstar.
I'm also worried they're removing Sunfire since they added Firestar to the new poll and 3 other Asian characters (which shouldn't matter, but wouldn't surprise me coming from Marvel).
I honestly think it's too soon to change the cast too much, thought. Hopefully Polaris, Sunfire and Synch will stick around. Northstar would be a cool addition and I'm sure Monet will win the vote even if my pick would be the far more underused Surge.
Removing Polaris would make these votes look even more pointless "Letting the people vote. And your voice will be heard for 12 issues, then your favorite will be dumped, whether you want it or not!".
Another year, another vote and Hellfire Gala? If this is a new X-Men tradition, I'm in!
I voted for Armor this time. I think she hasn't had much time to shine since her Astonishing X-Men day. And I think the time is right for her to show her worth again on a major team.

Another interview with White where he tries to squash the theories of why Hickman left.
It's an interesting listen, a lot of PR stuff but take a listen.

I get it from marvels perspective. Much easier to manage. Yet Polaris have been one of the better aspects of X-men. It seems Duggan enjoys writing her. So it would make more sense to keep her.
This reminds me of Legion of super heroes voting system for a leader. That system affected the stories too but it still was the same cast. It feels like a system much more suited for sustainability. This feels more like quick bursts. Whitch I guess makes it more attractive for Marvel.
Oh right another Hellfire Gala...let's crash the pacing again. And if they get rid of Polaris...why. It's not like she's going to land anywhere else it looks like and all you'll do is piss off the people who did vote for her.

It feels weird to be setting up a big roster change and voting for a new member when the current team feels like they've barely been established as it is, especially for some members, but whatever.
