Default DC LGBTQ+ characters 2022 appreciation

    New year, new thread 😊

    2021 appreciation thread: https://community.cbr.com/showthread...1-appreciation

Main DC LGBTQ+ happenings of 2021:

    • Tim Drake comes out as queer (bicurious/bisexual/maybe gay – not specified yet) (Batman: Urban Legends #6)

    • Jon Kent comes out as bisexual (Superman: Son of Kal-El #5)

    • Nubia is confirmed as queer (Nubia and the Amazons #3)

    • There are trans amazons living on Themyscira (Nubia and the Amazons #1)

    • Vixen comes out as bisexual (Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour #4)

    • Zala Jor-El and Diana/Wonder Woman are in a romantic relationship (Dark Knights of Steel #2 – an alternate/ Elseworlds type of universe)

    • The first LGBTQ+ anthology is published by DC (DC Pride #1) – the debut of Justice League Queer (JLQ)

    • The JLQ appear again in Tis the Season to Be Freezin' #1

    • Superman/Clark Kent reorganizes the Authority. The line-up includes LGBTQ+ members Steel (Natasha Irons), OMAC, Lightray (Lia Nelson), Midnighter, and Apollo (Superman and the Authority)

I hope we will have much to discuss here this year!

    DC Forum Appreciation Thread rules:

    1) No negative comments about the honoree(s) of this thread. It's an appreciation thread, not a non-appreciation one.

    2) No negative discussion about any competitors of the honoree(s) of this thread. No ifs, ands, or buts. Find another non-appreciation thread to do that, just not here.

    3) No negative comments about other versions of the character. For example, if you like the DCU version of Cyborg, but hate the DCnU version (or visa versa), just appreciate the earlier version and keep your comments about the latter to yourself.

I think casual clothes better suit Jon than his Supes suit . The jeans & red shoes are a nice reference to his Super-Sons period.

DC is doing surprisingly well with LGBTQ+ leads. Any recommendations among these books?
