It's possible that with the exit of Jordan Elsass, the current Jon Kent actor on Superman and Lois, his replacement may be playing a confirmed bi Jon on the show. Elsass who was cast before Jonathan was established as bi in the comics understandably (IMO) had reservations about Jon being in same-sex relationships on the show too, but the replacement actor now knows what may be required of them before they sign on.

Has it been 100% confirmed Elsass left the show because he doesn't wanna play a bi Jon? Or is it just Twitter rumour?

I haven't heard anything about the reason of his exit being because they were planning to establish Jon as bi on the show. Elsass said he quit the show because he wanted to look after his mental health and he wasn't even sure if he wanted to continue with acting as he's still very young and can explore other options.

I was referring to his quotes last year in response to Jonathan being bisexual in the comics. He kept claiming Show Jon and Comics Jon were alternate universe versions so the development in the comics didn't need to reflect on the show. TBF he signed up to play the role when the character's sexuality wasn't confirmed, and I assume the showrunners gave him the impression that Jonathan was straight? So I don't think it was in good taste to bash him for having reservations when he wasn't informed about the character's sexuality when he came onboard.

Fortunately, the actor who will be replacing him is in a better position where they know that Jon is bi in the comics and he may be required to romance dudes on the show as well.

What are the best Alan Scott stories beyond Earth 2? I know he's straight in pretty much everything until recently, but trying to read his best showings.

I wholeheartedly recommend one very short, but excellent story from Green Lantern 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular ('Dark things cannot stand the light'). There's also Flash/Green Lantern: Faster Friends - TBH, I haven't read this story yet, but I've heard some positive things about it.

Also, there's an Alan Scott thread from last year (if it helps): https://community.cbr.com/showthread...t-Appreciation

    Wish I could help more.

I don't think anyone should bash anyone, especially a young person who has shared some mental health concerns. But on the other hand, he is an actor, it's a role, it's reasonable to critique an actor for not wanting to play bi in this day and age IMO.

    Poison Ivy #4: https://aiptcomics.com/2022/09/02/dc...-poison-ivy-4/

The adventures of Ivy continue in one of the best DC ongoings. (No omniverse shattering events rewriting everything, just a character-focused story.)

"Workplace harassment complaints, health code violations, and inhuman work hours. All just a few of the things that your everyday human resources representative has to deal with. Lucky for you, Poison Ivy isn’t your average HR rep. She’s much more flexible and her punishments are far worse, too! So be on your best behavior because Dr. Isley is watching."

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nubia: Queen of the Amazons #4: https://aiptcomics.com/2022/09/02/dc...the-amazons-4/

"It’s Zillah versus Nubia for the power of Sekhmet! Once upon a time they were allies, but now they have been driven apart by a vindictive goddess. Can these women find peace and understanding in time to realize the real danger in front of them? Or is this the end of Nubia’s reign for good? Find out in the final issue of our miniseries!"

This Joëlle Jones variant is gorgeous:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Batman #127: https://aiptcomics.com/2022/09/02/dc...ew-batman-127/

Tim Drake/Robin meets Batman of Zur-En-Arrh in the main story, while Catwoman/Selina Kyle looks for the children of the Penguin in the backup story.

"With brutal efficiency, Failsafe hunts the Dark Knight, leaving a trail of injured heroes! Batman retreats to the manor as he prepares for a final assault…will the last few surprises he has in store be enough? And in the backup, Catwoman reaches a shocking conclusion in her search!"

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Multiversity: Teen Justice #4: https://aiptcomics.com/2022/09/02/dc...een-justice-4/

"An action-packed issue finds Kid Quick and their allies on Earth-11 face-to-face with a worlds-shaking threat! At last…why Raven refuses to join the team! Will the revelation prevent a tragedy…or somehow make it worse? Plus: an unexpected ally helps Troy escape the Church of Blood, the reunion the team’s been hoping for finally takes place, and the villainy of the Core comes to light! On a scale of 1 to 10 for surprises and all-around awesomeness, this one’s a solid (Earth-) 11!"

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dark Crisis on Infinite Earths #4: https://aiptcomics.com/2022/09/02/dc...nite-earths-4/

"WITNESS THE BIRTH OF THE NEW DC MULTIVERSE! Spinning out of the pages of The Flash, the heroes have learned the secret of Pariah’s new worlds—but at what cost does this knowledge come, and what can they even do with this information—or even worse, perhaps Pariah and the Great Darkness want them to know…? On Earth-Zero, Deathstroke continues to move forward with his plans to erase legacy heroics once and for all, while Jon Kent, Nightwing, and the ragtag group of youngsters rally to step up to the increasing number of challenges. The event of the year rages on! Dark Crisis is in many ways the direct sequel to the original Crisis on Infinite Earths by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. In this issue Pariah’s attempt to restore the infinite Multiverse reaches a breaking point!"

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dark Knights of Steel: Tales From the Three Kingdoms #1: https://aiptcomics.com/2022/09/02/dc...ee-kingdoms-1/

Kid Zala Jor-El and (maybe) Diana will appear in this collection of short stories.

"The El Kingdom has been ruled with integrity and honesty for generations, by familes from the Waynes to the Els. The future of the kingdom lies with its three heirs and the challenges they will face…but what really prepared them for their tumultuous future? What stories defined Bruce, Zala, and Kal-El? Learn these tales and more from international bestselling writers Tom Taylor, Jay Kristoff, and C.S. Pacat!"

Openly gay actor James Scully (Fire Island, You) who was cast in Titans Season 4 appeared in his first BTS pic, which also has Jay Lycurgo who plays Tim Drake on the show. Could Scully be playing Bernard?
