I was just rereading the Firestar mini (poor Butter Ram) and realised Angie had a guy really aiding her; Randall Chase. He almost paid with his live as Frost ordered other Hellfire Fire soldiers to kill him.

It is a shame ttey never used Randall Chase after that mini. He seemed to be a good friend and maybe even more to her.

The starfish insignia is still perplexing. Has the artist spoken about it anywhere? I've seen the prelim sketches but nothing discussing his concept...

Which disappoints me because she controls electro magnetic energy. I think I'll just have to give up with wanting artists trying to draw her powers correctly because it seems it's never going to happen.

I hope that either the annual or the monthly gets to show off the incredible amount of power she controls. There was a reason why Emma and Charles fought over her. As much as I love Jean and Synch, come in Duggan let someone else shine on the team please!

Duggan is very weird like that. He takes his sweet time to really throw the spotlight on a character in any meaningful way. I mean just look at Iceman. He had Bobby in Marauders for 20+ issues and did nothing with him but in X-Men he's showing up and showing out.

Hopefully he has something planned for Angelica sooner rather than later. With the power she has I think it could be really easy to throw her into a circuit and make it pack a punch.

Never. Artists just stopped differentiating her powers from basic fire based (see also Amara Aquilla/Magma).

Also, the new costume just feels like the artist (Pepe Larraz) wasn't ready to let go of Sunfire's post-Gala I X-Men team look and applied the same visuals to Angelica...

She was really created for Spider Man and his amazing friends, as a replacement for the Torch and she had fire based powers. When she was introduced in the comics they said she had microwave powers and her powers were referenced as Microwave. Bjt in recent years creators who were apparent fans of Spider Man and His Amazing friends took hold, so her powers are drawn as fire based and she is good friends with Bobby and Peter.

And soon the Amazing Friends have to battle the Goblin Queen, her demonic thugs, and her evil Spider allies.

Without a doubt, Forever Yesterday is truly a hidden treasure that needs more attention (IMHO):
