The thing about new costumes on a classic character is that that rarely stick.

Look at Spider-Woman, Havok, Spider-Man, Cap, etc.

Hopefully good writing and character development will outweigh the costume changes and in a year Angelica will be an established X-character.

I’m also wondering if that “star” was developed by Forge and does something.

I don't like it flameless but I think it looks good with the flames.

Yeah I really don't like it. It looks like someone stuck a starfish on her chest! The black and yellow don't look good together, but it looks marginally better when she is using her powers and the black turns red.
