    Gerry Duggan just confirmed:

    We had [Jean's] new RD dress ready to rock post Gala, but you don't fucking play Freebird when the crowd is yelling to play Freebird. Anyway, debuts this month. it's great. It's Russell so you know it's the fantastic newness.

    Why is this a separate thread instead of being part of the Jean thread? Genuine curiosity. I'm glad they're retiring the dress, it doesn't necessarily have to be as bad a costume it is, it's just not usually drawn well.

    Those Twitter responses from Duggan were annoying as h#$%!

    Basically, Jean was stuck in that antiqued dress for nearly 3 years...because fans were asking why she's been stuck in that antiqued dress without an in story reason?

    I really wish writers or Marvel in general spent as much time investing in meaningful stories as they do trolling fans, what did any of this accomplish?

    Recent X-Men Red costume for Jean Grey
    I am a Marvel fan preferably cosmic storylines, especially Thanos or Dark Phoenix related, when both the Avengers and the X-Men are involved count me in, loved the original Uncanny Avengers series.
    Not a fan of any of the new characters.
    (Marvel/DC fan for 44+ years)

    Yea seriously. I mean just look at PAD and Ben Reilly’s costume. When the new costume didn’t go over well with fans, he didn’t troll the fans, he did right by the fans and put Ben back in his old costume .

    I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.
