The 90s cartoons for me. X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk (not Silver Surfer though, due to Norrin and Galactus already being in FF). Kitty was completely excluded from the 90s cartoon, so I first saw Shadowcat in X-Men Evolution.

Iron Man-either a View Master reel of Iron Man introducing Hawkeye and Black Widow or Iron Man 79, not sure which I got first, Iron Man Mego around the same time
Captain America-either a Viewmaster reel of the Sleeper storyline or Avengers reprint in Marvel Triple Action 23, Captain America Mego around the same time
Black Panther-Jungle Action 7 (a hand me down from a neighbor) or Avengers 158/Black Panther 3 all gotten around the same time
Thor either View Master reel of Grey Gargoyle storyline or Thor 240, Mego around the same time
Scarlet Witch-Marvel Triple Action 23

Wow.... so many cartoons, so few comics.... I feel sorry for you if you're first intro to the Fantastic Four was the movie. It was *ok* but they muffed Doom badly in that one. IMO if you want to be properly introduced to the FF you should start with the Lee/Kirby run or at least skip ahead to John Byrne or Jonathan Hickman's if you don't like Silver Age stuff. BTW what does MAA stand for??

And for one of the best versions of the Wasp you should read the Avengers run by Roger Stern and drawn by John Buscema. This shows her more in a leadership role than just the gf of another hero.

I'd be afraid of severly dating myself but I will get back to this when I go back and look over some covers to pinpoint my intro to these characters

Marvel Avengers Alliance-it's right at the bottom of the post you quoted IM. It's a social network based video game of some sort (never played it or really seen it, just saw ads for it)

I saw that but was wondering if they meant Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I remember playing that game on my PC. I don't remember a Marvel Avengers Alliance.

I'm only going to list the main highlights, since this is real history:

In early 1964 I was hospitalized (8 years old) and someone brought comic books. I was not a great reader yet, but the art drew me in.
I remember this real moody Strange Tales with Johnny fighting the Wizard, and his sister helped him with her invisibility. But I pieced that together in the years afterwards, since I couldn't read well. Very moody art and Sue rather tripped me out (she made it look like Torch had a power that Wizard didn't realize).

A scant 3 or so years later, I came across FF # 64, The Coming of Ronan (might be one off on the issue number). The FF all have the same dream, predicting this being come to square things after the FF defeated the Sentry Sinister.
I was hooked! The next issues were the intro of Him, Adam Warlock.
I began using my meager allowance to buy these and mostly other Marvels.
I remember when Magneto tore Wanda and Pietro from the Avengers by deceits, when he flung the pen at Wasp, and made the cop's gun go off and graze Wanda's temple.

this was like Shakespeare to me (thought I was still to young to know that!)

I've never stopped buying the FF, and most of the comics, though in the last 10 to 15 I've really whittled it down.

I used to play cards with my brother even before I started reading comics or watching movies. Fun fact: wolverine has the highest fighting skills among all the cards with 95 so for a long time I thought he was some uber ninja and was quite disappointed when I found out he's more of a savage than a ninja in comics.

I first came to know the New Warriors by browsing through my brother's Spider-Man comics and his trading cards.
I got introduced to X-Men, Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, Hulk, Iron Man, and Silver Surfer and Avengers by watching those 90s cartoons and browsing through my brother's trading cards.

My friend's Fleer Ultra cards introduced me to Marvel.

I collected the cards before I read a single comic panel.

90s cartoon for X-Men, I also watched Spider-Man but I FIRST encountered him in reruns (I was not alive in the 60s ) of the 60s cartoon, before school. Hulk was the Lou Ferringo show, though I was scared of it, i was very young. Everyone else, i guess after i started reading the comics, but i don't really remember specific issues for most, since i started with X-Men and and a bit of Spider-Man stuff since i knew them from the cartoons, and kinda just became aware of the others in passing, before reading anything with them specifically.

The major entry was this for me. I found the comics shortly after and then was pretty much hooked. Everybody else was through the comics, except maybe Spidey who had his own cartoon at the time.
