Once an Avenger, always an Avenger, I guess.

I like your take, however, the cynical in me really doesn't see Marvel doing that to bring back a chartacter it has always pissed on. Plus, in nowadays, Hank is seen as another white savior, and a PC character would always be prefered. And you still have that pesky movie synergy thing, rihght? God, I really am cynical, ain't I?

I'm going to hope for the best. At least we'll get one good Hank story out of it .

Remember that the guy has been dead a long time, and may not be aware of things that took place since "Disassembled" (and that's quite a LOT to digest). If it was not a mistake, it was probably meant to point how clueless he is over which things changed and which things are still the same. Which is basically a mandatory thing to happen each time someone comes back from the dead, anyway.

It's not Jack of Heart who talks about "Hank", it's She-Hulk.

Currently looking for a pull list... Does near-mint West Coast Avengers count?

The entire Jack of Hearts return seems to be a continuity error. He already came back in a Marvel Zombies mini set in Earth-616 with zombified Squadron Supreme clones. One line mentioning "Hank" is just minor error in continuity compounding on a larger one.
    Wanna make somethin' of it?

Well, this "Reckoning War" was an event that was being set up and that should have happened over a decade ago, so maybe some of it was not "updated" as it should have.

I will be picking this one up. On a side note, Egghead is one of the few characters that AFAIK has stayed dead.

This is why this flashback into Hank’s past will be more enjoyable. Elihas Starr, Nathan Garrett and Alex Gentry have all stayed dead. Hope to see all three in this.

I think Nick Spencer brought Egghead back in his Ant-Man.

I don't think I ever read Nick Spencer's Ant-Man. The last time I remember Egghead appearing in a story was in the Fall of the Hulks crossover and he only showed up in a flashback about the early days of the Intelligencia. But I guess just about anyone can come back from the dead these days.
