One incident in the movie of this (Mouth Of Sauron), unless I’m mistaken. Not like he routinely went around stabbing people in the back IIRC.

For myself, I feel the fact that he does it once indicates his level of trustworthiness. Granted, it was pretty much also the only parlay where he was face-to-face with his opposite number in the entire series (Saruman, in their parlay, was a tad out of reach), so it's not like he had other chances. ^_^ Maybe he would have gone on a parlay murder-spree, who can say?

Put another way, some guy who says he's going to be the noble king of a country starts off his career by literally attacking someone from behind under a flag of truce he has accepted, it's not exactly a great thing for his character. I wouldn't trust the fellow.

Movie-Aragorn wasn't really that similar to book Aragorn once one digs past the superficial similarities. This one incident might have been his only 'backstab during parlay' (does someone need more than one of those to be branded as untrustworthy?), but there were other things that stood out.

Yeah, since Tauriel’s there from The Hobbit, I assume we have the Legolas that can magically run on things that aren’t supported by anything.

Huh I can't possibly remember these many LOTR movie characters now but the Thing dog ain't stupid and is going to have a field day looking to assimilate anything biological on both sides and also the Shire. Gabriel Thing is the most terrifying opponent I imagine a non-magical LOTR warrior could see here. Especially if Xenomorph blood doesn't by convoluted origin movies design fight off Thing assimilation.
