Probably for the best, last year had way too much fluff. The best things were just the designs and the mars reveal (which we already guessed).

Will they spoiled the winner this time?

#XMenVote ends soon. You'll see more of ALL the candidates whether they win or not. We let you in on the vote b/c it's fun. Please go easy on each other. It's a cruel world, be kind, and read the X-Men Hellfire Gala one shot to learn who won
Lame. I liked seeing all the characters and events cross over and interact. I guess it would be hard to top last year's event, but one-shot feels like such a letdown in comparison.

But if all the candidates are going to get focus, I'm happy. Though I doubt they'll get much more than some pity appearances.

Watch out Bleeding Cool might run this as a scoop.

Hopeful that this statement has some truth in it and isn't just a platitude to get fans to calm down (though fans really do need to calm tf down). A Destiny of X Wave 2 is practically confirmed with Williams, Wong, and LaValle still having unannounced books, so there is definitely still space for some of these characters.

Regarding the one-shot... yeah I think that's the best bet. Some books really elevated themselves when the Gala came around, but many felt like they didn't really need to take that detour. A one-shot will give the creators who want to participate a chance to while also leaving out the books that don't need to tie-in.

Glad it is a one shot; but I don't think it should happen till late 2022.

    2021: Mutants terraform a planet.
2022: Emma shows us what's in the box.
I was trying to do too much and not doing any of it as well as I could. But I've had a change of mind... though not everyone shall enjoy it. I will.

A huge 96 page one shot with tons of design and BTS info!

Good. I don't think we need another line wide crossover for this again so soon. Are we supposed to understand a year will have passed in comic time by that issue then? The Marvel time scale seems especially timey-wimey lately.

A smart choice if they want this concept to have longevity. Fans would become annoyed real quick if the gala kept hijacking the entire line of books.

better idea. last time nothing happened for 90% of it and it was just filler.

just an excuse to come up with the costumes.

I figured it'd be the case. Making it line wide was only kinda effective last time, and doing it again when everyone's just launching the new line would be very bad.

    Love to see it.

Don't get me wrong, I like much of the original Hellfire Gala myself, but we don't need a ton of issues about it every year.
