From a recent interview, it looks like my suppositions about what Flashpoint is doing in the larger picture are turning out to be correct. Various major events throughout DC's history are being retroactively tied to the Omniverse or to Hypertime.

As for the joker reveal: I think the most interesting part isn't The Who, so much as the how and why. And that hasn't been revealed yet.

Breaking news: Johns is now confirmed to be writing two new books, a Stargirl title and the Justice Society of America, as spinoffs from an upcoming “New Golden Age”. I mentioned them here because he made mention of Flashpoint Beyond in his talk about one of them. I suspect that this is going to be DCU Rebirth, take two.
