    Cont'd:

There's tragedy with Superboy Prime. That's probably why the character was revisted so many times afterwards. However, there's truth in Kal-El's words as well.
"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Loved these scenes from Batman: Year One. Batman made mistakes. What the...? And then you realize that everyone has to start out somewhere, even Batman. And somehow he makes it work:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Barry Allen and Hal Jordan outracing the Black Lantern rings during the Blackest Night event:

"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

Is it though?!?! Especially when you take the year's worth of lead-in. It squanders some genuinely fantastic set up. Then completely forgets the themes at play

OMG! The legendary Gene Colan, of course. He also did artwork for Batman/Detective Comics

Cool! I must be more familiar with Gene Colan's art when he's inking himself. Tony DeZuniga's inks make it look just different enough that I didn't recognize it.
