Cerebral and good natured. I would say he is grounded and more responsible as opposed to being a risk taker. In general, an all around good guy and supportive friend.

He popped up in quite a few issues of the last Hawkman series, well worth the read if your a fan of the Hawks.

He has a wild side though, seen in how easily he slipped into the role of a Barbarian hero. If he’d been born in the 19th century he would’ve been one of those globe trotting types who spent months or even years in exotic locales, risking his life to learn new things.
His relationship w. Jean hurt him big time. Other than Laethwen (who conveniently tied into his desire to leave his old life behind and go native), has he had any other meaningful relationships?


The duality in his personality, man of science/wild adventurer is prob. why he’s such good friends w. Hawkman, who more openly straddles the line between being a civilized man and savage Warrior.
