Maybe it's just me but one thing that I think holds them back is the name. They named themselves after the leader of the team Simon Utrecht and I had to look that up by reading their origin in IH #254. So it's pretty meaningless and could be changed without losing much. After all I suspect few people would know their given names.
Practically most if not all of the national superhero teams that appeared for one issue or arc and never or rarely heard from again.

"We live in a world of cowards. We live in a world full of small minds who are afraid. We are ruled by those who refuse to risk anything of their own. Who guard their over bloated paucities of power with money. With false reasoning. With measured hesitance. With prideful, recalcitrant inaction. With hateful invective. With weapons. F@#K these selfish fools and their prevailing world order." Tony Stark
I came across that in the Marvel fandom Wiki answer I came across too.
The splash page at the beginning notes the inspiration was a song by recording artist Graham Parker that is referenced in the title of the story. Mea culpa...never heard of him or the song )
But in story itself in IH #254, this is Ironclad coming up with what to call themselves after the their transformation. So both answers are right.

Wolf Pack, 1980s urban youth team:

I'd definitely prefer that a team based on Egyptian gods to be a bit less American, but the idea is neat, considering how much the Greek and Norse pantheons get play in Marvel. (Although having a team based off of Shu and his wife Tefnut, and Geb, but not his wife Nuit (the night sky, darkness), seems incomplete. I'd want all four! And I'd prefer making Wind Warrior more of a rain-caller / storm-summoner / budget Storm, since Tefnut is more a goddess of moisture than wind, wind being more of Shu's thing as a sky-god.)
But yeah, definitely more exploration of Egyptian-mythos-derived characters like the Earth Force (hopefully Moon Knight will give the notion a bump?).
