Default What elements do you want to see in an Amazing Spider-Man Comic Book run?

Personally, I would like to see the following story elements in Amazing Spider-Man:
    1. Peter and Mary Jane move into a large high-rise apartment together in Manhattan.
    2. Both Peter and Mary Jane establish new careers in Manhattan. Specifically, Peter lands a position as a new technology developer for a company called Future Innovations, while Mary Jane cohosts an early daytime show called Morning Talk and judges a late-night reality show called Model Search. This would introduce a new supporting cast of characters within both Peter and Mary Jane’s professions.
    3. No storylines or references to One More Day, Sins Past, Clones or Chameleons.
    4. Spider-man becomes a more street level focused hero with less reliance on superhero team-ups.
    5. More detailed panel-by-panel sequences of spider-man swinging around New York City.
    6. Spider-man using his intelligence, ingenuity and experience to take down villains without the help of other superheroes.
    7. A return to spider-man webbing up villains with a note attached for the police.
    8. Introduction of several new villains to enter Spider-Man’s rogue’s gallery.

Some ideas I had for new spider-man villains include the following:
    - 5 new crime bosses take control over each of the 5 boroughs of New York. Each crime boss has an underboss and underlings at their disposal.
    - Golden Pharoah has established several illegal underground casinos throughout Brooklyn. His underboss (Lady Luck) and underlings (Card Sharks) oversee the casinos to make sure no customers are cheating by counting cards or utilizing a special algorithm to cheat the system.
    - Madame Peacock controls a large illegal prostitution ring in Queens. Her underboss (Delilah) and underlings (Femme Enforcers) rough up any customers who try to take advantage or abuse their call girls.
    - The Reaper develops, manufactures, and sells technologically advanced firearms to underground criminals throughout New York with the help of his underboss (Red Dragon) and underlings (Skeleton Crew) within an old, abandoned building in Chinatown within lower Manhattan.
    - Silver Swan smuggles rare paintings, jewelry and blood diamonds into Long Island from across the Atlantic Ocean with the help of her underboss (Sea Raider) and underlings (Silver Bullets).
    - Voodoo King has developed a new drug with the help of his underboss (Night Witch) and underlings (Mindless Ones) called Black Mist that increases one’s memory and intellect exponentially over a short period of time. However, increased exposure to the drug eventually causes the person to become a mindless slave to the Voodoo King, which adds to the underlings at his disposal.

Shadow (A secret organization of underground assassins in Manhattan)
    - Mr. Smoke is the mastermind behind Shadow’s secret organization. He locates clients, completes background checks on clients, and sets up lucrative assassination plots for clients. Assassins within his organization include the following: Angel of Death, Dark Raven, Emerald Samurai, Porcelain Frog, Quick Change, Silhouette, and Sniper.

Villain Groups: 1. Gentlemen’s Club - This group of villain’s kidnap superheroes and uncover their secret identities, which they auction off to the highest bidder. 2. Rogues Gallery- Group of criminals that wear rubber masks of different villains in spider-man’s rogue’s gallery such as the Green Goblin, Shocker, Prowler, Jack O’ Lantern, etc. and rob banks. 3. Tech Bandits- Steal newly developed technology from different companies and sells them to the highest bidder.

Other Villains: 1. Evil Spider-Man – Wears a blue and black colored spider-man costume. Each web cartridge around his wrist contains either webbing or acid. Evil spider-man stalks the streets at night and takes pleasure in killing either petty crooks or super powered villains. 2. Doll Queen – She has special technology that can shrink a person down to the size of a living doll. Doll Queen locks her victims away in doll houses throughout her high-rise apartment in Manhattan. 3. Face Mask – Wears a hat, suit, and overcoat. Face mask possesses hundreds of different masks within his collection. Each mask contains a different power set. The variety of powers within each mask enables him to breach different security systems that protect high end technology and merchandise.
    4. Hacker – Hacks into major corporation’s accounts and demands a heavy ransom to remove an untraceable virus within their computer systems. 5. Manikin – Purchased special microchips from the Tech Bandits that gives orders to manikins to steal from high end department stores for him.

Well, let me know what you think about my ideas and please feel free to share your own ideas as I would be happy to comment on them.

OMD definitively undone or resolved. That’s the biggest thing. Everything else is window dressing.

At one point long ago, I wanted Peter to recover Baby May, but it’s just been too many decades now. Even in Marvel time she would have to be a few years old, so it’d just open a can of worms about childhood trauma if she was recovered from an abductor’s grip now. So I’ll leave that in the past.

Oh, and no more scenes of an incompetent Peter/Ben needing to be rescued by kids or Mary Sues. In fact, just get rid of every Spider-powered or influenced hero that isn’t named Peter, Ben, Kaine, Miguel or Miles (I know even that sounds like too much…).

Agreed, the incompetent Peter/Ben needing to be rescued is irritating to read. Also, I also would like to see the OMD get undone or resolved. It just always seems to be dangled like a carrot and pulled away.

    Good stories.
Variety. The good runs tend to be a mix of different types of stories.
Some developments for Peter Parker and a sense of how being Spider-Man affects his life.
    Sincerely,

Yes, kind of like a lot of ASM stories in the 80's where you had a range of stories from spider-man fighting the hobgoblin to the kid who collects spider-man.

Baby May does not exist. If they're going to have a child, it's going to be named Ben.

Street level Spidey also doesn't exist since none of his classic supervillain count as Street level. That'd be like saying that the Red Skull is street level.
