    Bungie makes new games?

No. We want the worlds we are creating to extend to anywhere people play games. We will continue to be self-published, creatively independent, and we will continue to drive one, unified Bungie community.

This is double speak at its finest. "We want the worlds they are creating to extend to anywhere people pay games" just because they want something to happen doesn't mean it's going to happen. Sony doesn't just drop three billion dollars for nothing. Notice that the only time X-Box is mentioned by name is when it comes to Halo. This is very similar to the things X-Box said when it bought Bethesda and Activision. My hunch was right then and I think it's going to be right now. They will honor past agreements and then pull the plug on X-Box but still release games on PC so they can still have their multiplatform status.
I can believe Bungie here because Sony dropped 3 billion for a live service. Playstation doesn't have any games under it's umbrella that's a constant revenue stream and Destiny is one of the more successful games in that regard. If Bungie wants to continue down that path then it would be better for Sony to let them stay multiplatform. They will get a large cut of the pie.

I really wish Sony would focus on buying Sega to lock in Persona , Catherine and Sonic as games. Imagine a good Sonic game under Sony's watch.
I dont think there were rumors so much as speculation and wishful thinking

It may not be. According to this ...

    https://gamerant.com/sony-bungie-acq...-future-plans/

Sega , Konami and Ubisoft would be potential targets for one or 2 of them. Each company has things Sony could really do things with properties wise. Konami would make sense as rumors have been Sony wants a new Metal Gear or Silent Hills game. With a rumor Sony wanted to put Kojima on those properties.

What exactly does Sega have to offer Sony outside Sonic, out of interest? Not really up much with Sega in most generation. Eco the Dolphin and Shemue besides.

Any chance of a new MGS game done right on PS would be awesome. Ubisoft is a good fit with their traditional single player open world focus that Playstation likes, though their recent plans suggest a move away from that...

Sega owns Atlus which has been kicking ass the last decade on RPG's like the Persona series and Shinn Megami games. Sega would be a nice get to own Atlus for those and Sonic. Its not a huge company but would give Sony control of 2 big RPG series that have grown in popularity the last decade.

Aside from Atlus that Super mentioned Sega publishes Yakuza which is a huge franchise in Japan and a cult hit in the west. It's the only franchise that isn't Sonic that Sega produces regularly. On the PC side of things Sega also publishes Total War, a major turn based strategy IP.

Since Sony co-owns Evo dusting off Virtua Fighter would be a good idea.

Yakuza... And all it's weird spin off games which can run the gamut from Samurai Games or Zombie games.

Phantasy Star Online an MMO that's been running over a decade now.

Virtua Fighter...not my personal favorite fighting game but it's a niche game that no other FG franchise has filled since.

Sega Rally.... Forgotten by many as there hasn't been a release in about 10 years but if you liked arcade racing and didn't have the patience for the sim aspects of other racing games, you probably played this.

Does this mean we could see crossovers? Maybe even a Kingdom Hearts type game?

They also recently started working on new games for their older IPs, such as Sakura Wars and the Shining series.

One property that makes me wonder if X-Box will revive with Activision is "Guitar Hero". They could do new games and the guitars as console exclusives now. So that would be an interesting property.

And as I posted way earlier money weighed out here. Call of Duty is not a Doom or Elder Scrolls. Its a multi-platform bank machine. Cutting Sony out would be blowing millions of dollars in the wind.

You were right. So...PlayStation owners are going to be made to pay sixty dollars while people who have Gamepass get the game free? Or did Sony cut a deal with Microsoft to keep the game off of Gamepass, if they did what did they promise Microsoft?
