foxley, 'cause I'm a sucker for negative spaces.

Don't look at me like that.
I actually thought, "I feel like I'm posting foxley's entry this week". LOL.

Anyway, the cover I thought of that got posted like RIGHT before I could post it was Tami's, so they have my pick for this week.

Tami gets my vote since it features the heroism of the profession....not the cheesecake. In these times of a raging pandemic I think it is very fitting.

When in doubt, go with Nurse Betty. Betty is better, I always say!

I couldn't decide, so I just went with a cover that was just too silly, nx01a

Stony because I would have used Florence Nightingale.

If she is the same character as the Candy Candy anime who abruptly replaced the robot animes that were airing on after-school Philippine TV in the mid 70's, let me tell you we were disappointed and livid that our favorites like Voltes V were canceled mid-series without knowing how they ended. Ostensibly it was because of the violence in the shows, but talk was that Voltes V was specifically canceled because the storyline about Earth's defenses opposing an oppressive, invading alien force would inspire rebellions against the martial law then in place.

But honorable mention to Catlady in Training.
I think restorative nostalgia is the number one issue with comic book fans.
A fine distinction between two types of Nostalgia:

Reflective Nostalgia allows us to savor our memories but accepts that they are in the past
Restorative Nostalgia pushes back against the here and now, keeping us stuck trying to relive our glory days.
