I don't mind the pairing, I just think they tainted it by forcing it so goddamn hard (to the point of having Uatu show up at their wedding to gush about how great their kids will be).

They don't actively bother me but when they are together it's just horrible. they are two big names so one always seems to have to diminish the other. Writers feel they can have them do things and treat each other ways they would have never had their white counterparts interact. They rewrote Storm history just to write in underage sex (simply thinking of it from a perspective of optics and what would or wouldn't be acceptable in america if the subjects were different) which has since seemed to be retconned out. They did everything wrong to this couple and keep trying to put them together while on the flip tearing apart supportive couples like Peter and MJ, couples they would never do this kind of stuff to which for me makes me ponder a lot of things. This couple has never been respected by marvel imo and when Coates seemingly was going to clean it up he imo did the ultimate slap in the face, tchalla just suffered, no memory, visions of storm, away after giving her everything and truly atoning for imo past sins under bad or rather insensitive writing and then she was like, "he just a dude, all dude like side pieces." LOL WHAT? can anyone honestly say they would want reed with sue if she thought that or sue with reed if she thought that. That's my problem.
