A team of Marvel's most popular heroes(?)

We know that practically everyone has been an Avenger by this point. But what if you made a team- call it whatever you like-based solely on the most popular?
Who do you think should be in it? Should anti-heroes like Deadpool be included? What if they are popular in comic books but not elsewhere?
Are there any newer characters you think are just as popular now as those who have been around a long time?
Are Wolverine and Spider-Man still the top two as when Bendis put them on the Avengers or is it someone else?

Just 1 stipulation- only 7 members:

I think you need to throw Black Widow in there.

Not against this as a thought exercise...but I do think that that is the thinking that is hurting a lot of long term characters like Wasp (Jan). Let's make an Avengers book with all the "cool kids" and ignore all the rest.

Yeah, it's just for fun. I like a lot of the "classic" characters too but you have to have room for growth or things get stagnant.

Yeah. Waid used Miles in the Avengers after Secret Wars. No doubt Bendis would've too if he was still writing Avengers by then, considering he created Miles. It's the same reason Naomi is on the current Justice League.

I like Hawkeye. The comic book version moreso than the MCU guy. And the latter version just got a Disney + show. But is he a popular character?

I dunno, Gwen Stacy/GwenPool and Silk seem to have a following and even Spider-Girl/"Mayday" Parker. And Ben Reilly a.k.a Scarlet Spider.
