The first 5 or 6 were easy -- after that it got a lot harder to narrow it down. There are some newer additions who came close to making the cut (like Songbird, Squirrel Girl and Toni Ho) and old favourites who also came close (like Crystal and Moondragon).

Some of my choices might change from day to day, depending on the mood I'm in--but those first 5 are a lock. Julia Carpenter makes the list for her original stint as an Avenger...but I am not nearly as fond of her current status quo as Madame Web. I would much prefer she go back to the costume, codename and power set of Arachne she had during her time with Omega Flight, but I do realize that at least the "Madame Web" identity gives her a distinct role to fill with so many other spider-women active these days, so its probably best for her to stick with that if she wants to avoid limbo or getting killed off.

10. Songbird (She was an Avenger in Avengers Forever).

She was also an Avenger in Al Ewing's NEW AVENGERS series.
